as good as any hotel weve stayed in - and better than most!
The Parlament Hotel is just behind the Parlament building - not a great street but incredibly close to everything on Pest side and very near the Metro 2 station. Breakfast is great but theres no restaurant service. However, you dont need it because there are loads of great eateries nearby, Otherwise this is as good as weve experienced anywhere, with gorgeous rooms, really helpful service whenever, and a nice little wellness centre.
Official guides rather ignore it, but the House of Terror (Andrassy ut. 60) is moving and quite challenging.

Good location
Best Western Parlament was located just outside of the centre of Pest which was fairly quiet except on the Friday night before heading home. The room was exceptionally tidy, however the bed was uncomfortable and 2 days before leaving, the hotel blasted on the heating - it was still 27 Degrees Celsius outside - sleeping was difficult. The breakfast was good considering it was available in the price paid, but more vegetarian options would have been appreciated - the staff picked up eggs and meats with the same tongs, big no no for veggies. The spa/sauna was fantastic - real bonus of this hotel. The reception staff were mostly friendly - the lady on reception was especially helpful giving us tips on outings and being able to book some things directly through the hotel. I would say that it was a good stay - may try the Buda side next time as it seemed a lot quieter than Pest (and less graffiti).
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Lots of good museums nearby including the Museum of Ethnography - that was a real winner the day before we left. Possibly give a miss to House of Terror though if youre a bit sensitive on history, it was a little much for me to handle.
