We had a Cork-ing time
We couldnt fault the hotel for location or service. The Skylink shuttle bus from Cork airport stops directly outside the hotel (8 Euro for a return ticket). The staff were all helpful and friendly (although on the first morning there was some building work going on directly outside our window which no-one on reception seemed to know anything about but it didnt really cause us a problem). Although we didnt drink in the hotel bar we did have the set menu three course meal in the restaurant which was not only fantastic quality but also very good value compared to other restaurants (and even pub food prices) in the area at just 30 euros per person. Would definitely recommend it and if we ever go back to Cork we would want to stay there again.
We did struggle a bit to find anywhere that wasnt out of our budget range for a decent meal - though that was mainly down to the pound being so weak against the euro when we went. Definitely worth a look around during the day rather than heading out in the evening in your gladrags trying to find somewhere to eat - especially if youre on quite a small budget as we were.

A very modern yet feel at home hotel.
We had a marvelous eight night stay at Jurys. The staff was welcoming and were always attentive to our needs. The front desk staff was superb. The waiters and waitresses in the breakfast area and the Weir Bar were also extremely helpful and cordial. We would not hesitate to stay at Jurys again. The free garage parking for our rental car was also a plus.
Jurys is within easy walking distance to central Cork for shopping and restaurants. You can also gain access to the City Tours double-decker buses in the same area.

A Great Hotel for Relaxation and Comfort
The Jurys Cork Hotel was brilliantly geared for relaxation and comfort! The staff was always courteous and attentive from our first entering the hotel, and throughout our entire stay. We had several family relations meet up with us there, and there were always large private meeting spaces that were very comfortable and convenient to accommodate everyone! The food was first rate, and available at whatever time! Dinner at the Weir Bistro was a total pleasure! This restuarant overlooking a river is wonderful, and we spent time just relaxing on the outside terrace watching an occasional pair of swans go by in that river! The hotel is also within convenient walking distance to St. Patricks Street, and to all the shops in Cork City which was a pleasant surprise. Coming back to the hotel from shopping, Bus Eireann stopped right in front of it, and this was an added perk! When looking out the very large window balcony of our room (we especially, enjoyed that the side windows could be opened up for fresh air) the terraced landscape of rowed houses, cottages and other structures of Cork City, led up to a lighted Cross on top of a Church at the pinacle of that hill...this was so, especially, beautiful at night! We topped off our incredible days in our rooms massage therapy shower and let our cares drift away in the wonderfully soft temperpedic mattresses! We would definitely, recommend this hotel to others. We are only sorry that we did not stay there on our first trip to Cork City!
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The Jurys Cork Hotel is a first-rate hotel! As we were there in the beginning of September, we do not know its availability at other peak tourists travel time, but a reservation there is worth the wait!
