A good budget stay
This hotel was clean and comfortable, with an excellent travel cot for our young son. There is plenty of storage space in the room, and a safe to keep passports etc in. We were very impressed with the housekeeping staff, who even managed to service the room while our son slept. The air conditioning unit was very welcome on warm nights, as were the french doors onto the shared balcony. The noise from the bar did wake us up a couple of nights, an extra pillow would have been good (there was only one in the room for two of us) and the buildings either side are currently undergoing construction work which was noisy at times but if you get up and go out thats not really a problem. So no, not a perfect stay, but a good enough one at the price.
Traveller's tip on dining
5 minutes away on Praterstrasse is a fantastic Italian called Vapianos. They do eat in and takeaway, and cook it all fresh in front of you. The most expensive thing on the menu was 9 Euros!

Difficult to judge because of building works next door
The hotel is excellently placed, near the new Taborstrasse underground station (not listed in some publicity). We arrived to find building work in progress next door and wondered about the noise, We were told the noisy work was over and were allocated a room dominated by an old-fashioned TV bolted to the bottom of the bed--a room perhaps worth two or three stars, not 4, especially as it was next to the lift. The following morning was were awakened by terrible crashing noises and a the scoop of a mechanical excavator appeared at our window on ths second floor. The management was extremely apologetic and reallocated us to a luxury suite with a nice sitting room plus bedroom (at the same price). Breakfast was very expensibe but there are lots of nice breakfast bars nearby plus (to our surprise) two ksoher restaurants. A website said it was ideal for families but this was not apparent--we felt it was moe aimed at conferences. The staff were delighful and very helpful (and saved us lots of money by their advice).

Would recommend to friends
Good, clean, modern hotel in central location for both city centre and Prater. Close to new Taborstr underground station and also short walk for Swedensplatz. Buffet breakfast availbale at 14 euros, but we ate out for much less. Only small critisism is noise form other guests, as walls must have been quite thin, but not likely to be much of a problem since mainly business or city break customers
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Take up to date guide book. Ours was a frew years old and had tram routes that have been replaced with tube lines.
