Wonderful hotel... look no further, seriously!

This is a perfect hotel for a relaxing stay in Santorini! The hotel is located in the smaller, less chaotic town of Firostefani, just a short 5-10 minute walk to the town of Fira. Fira gets quite crowded during the day with cruise ship passengers, so Firostefani is a great location choice. There are many great restaurants in Firostefani as well, just a few feet from the hotel. The hotel has beautiful and spacious rooms. We had an apartment style room with a queen sized bed, small kitchen and bathroom. Each room has an outside sitting area with a beautiful caldera view. The sunset is beautiful! Each morning, made to order breakfast is prepared by the hotel staff and delivered to your room. Breakfast choices consist of: toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, boiled eggs, toast and jam, various cookies and cakes, coffee and juice. The hotel manager was wonderful and personally arranged a tour of the island for us and gave us travel advice. A bus stop is conveniently located 2 minutes from the hotel, as is a car rental company. The hotel can also arrange pick up from the port. The only negative thing I can say about the hotel is that our room did not have a shower curtain. It took a little getting used to, but if you travel extensively in Greece, you will notice that this is a trend. Wonderful hotel, stop looking and book a room now!

Contact the hotel to arrange port or airport pick up. Take a boat tour to the volcano - the hotel can arrange the tour the day before.

Cozy Little Place

Efterpi Villas is located in Firostefani, town adjacent to Fira (Thira). The pedestrian way to Fira around the Caldera offers some great views and will take through a couple of spots where some iconic photos of Fira are taken. All in all it took some 10-15 minutes to get to Fira at a very easy pace. Firostefani is a much quiet place to stay than Fira; we didn’t know that when booking but we are glad we stayed there. Views from the hotel are incredible and most rooms (maybe all of them but we don’t remember well) come with a private terrace. We took wine and snacks in ours while watching the sunset. Other villas and small hotels surround this property which contributes to a very relaxing setting. There is a small grocery store a few yards from the hotel and several nice restaurants as well if you are not in the mood to go to Fira. You will be attended personally by the colorful owner/manager.
