Not our scene
Our initial room looked like a college dorm room from the 1920s. Bizarre massive bookshelves over a dumpy bed. TINY bathroom and cramped bathroom. Looked nothing like the photo. We asked for a room change (this was our honeymoom, really expected something different). They upgraded us for 2 nights to another room. A Huge difference. Very large room, fantastic view of the water. Very, very nice. Although the A/C didn’t quite work which was frustrating. We ended up leaving a day early. Not a great stay but it was nice of them to upgrade us at no extra cost. The other clientele seemed almost exclusively retirees (some very, very old) and a handful of families. I’m guessing a lot of the guests have been coming for years and years to this same place and aren’t aware that there are MUCH better places to stay out there.

Worth considering
Hotel Miramare is well located on the waterfront, and front rooms have a lovely view over the bay. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, with a range of choice on the buffet. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We only stayed two nights and would gladly return for a longer visit. Coridors and stairwell were not as light and bright as the rooms/reception areas. We were on the first floor and having the window open meant we had a bit of noise from the beachfront road, but it was not unbearable.
