A Gem
Worth staying here for the baths alone - a fantastic experience. The restaurants and coffee shop are also excellent, the service good and the location ideal. The only downside is that the rooms are rather dated and, when we were there in August, could have done with a ceiling fan if not full air-con.

Grand Old Hotel- Great for the price
Great hotel in a fine 1930’s style. Wonderful pool and spa, nice breakfast (didn’t try the evening meals). This is a fine hotel with friendly, English speaking staff on the 24-hour front desk. The whole hotel looks fabulous, aith stained glass and wood everywhere. The standards of clenliness are also very good. It is well placed right on the Danube in Buda, close to the major sights on that side of the river, and the centre of Pest. If you can saty here at a good price, then do.

We loved it.
The hotel and our room were beautiful. We enjoyed our balcony and view of the Danube. Service was great as was the food in the restaurant. Having the baths attached was a real plus. The only drawback was not having air conditioning on some of the hottest days of summer (104 F). Still we enjoyed our stay.
