Needs a new chef!
We stayed at Silver Beech for a few days as part of our honey moon. It has a great location on the beech (although it is def not private as it advertises). The service is fantastic for an all inclusive but sadly the quality of food and drink leaves a lot to be desired. The all inclusive wine is the worst we have tasted -it is on a par with the stuff you drank from jugs in Greece on your last 18/30 holiday - you can pay a large amount for a proper bottle. The beer is weak but the cocktails are ok. The food looks ok but lacks taste especially the desserts, its also very samey every day - however breakfast is very good. The whole place looks a bit tired and could do with a makeover but as i said all the staff where fab - we would hesitate to book again purely on the quality of food and drink.
Traveller's tip on shopping
Taxis are a real rip off on M with some serious fixed high pricing. We travelled to Port Louis on two buses via flack and it was a great experiance taking about 90 minutes each way and for a 50 Rups each - taxi cost 40 times that!! Bus stops outside the hotel.

Perfect week in a excellent hotel.
The hotel staff were alway prepared to go the extra mile. Very good service in perfect location.

Much better than its rating
When arriving good reception, nice and friendly staff with good food, especially the "Open buffet". Good service att all meals. Pool and beach area well maintained.
