Excelent location with stunning water views over old and new parts of town. Clean and new rooms. Great restaurant and bar. Perhaps to much business folks for a leisure trip.

Very cosmopolitan!
Im just back from a three night stay in The Copenhagen Island Hotel with my husband. We had an absolute ball! Were from Ireland and just fancied a city break and Denmark is less than a two hour flight so it was perfect. The hotel is 15 minute walk from Central Station. You can get to and from the airport to this station by train in about 10 minutes (€5 each) so the hotel is very convenient. The room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and theres a gym with steam room and sauna which we found excellent. There are no coffee/tea making facilities in the bedrooms however which are always in the hotel rooms in Ireland so that was the only thing I found disappointing! There is a shopping centre and cinema right beside the hotel which is great. If you are prepared to walk in the city centre its lovely walk down beside the quay. You can also rent bikes from the reception which a great way of getting around Copenhagen!
Go to see Malmo (Swedens 3rd largest city)! It is only 30 mins by train from Copenhagen central station to Malmo and around €17 return per person. Visit Malmos national museum which has a dinasaur exhibition and an aquarium!

Ideal hotel for business trips.
Very clean modern hotel, the rooms are on the small side but adequate for business trips. Apparently most hotels in Copenhagen have small rooms. The choice on the evening menu was very limited and very pricey, but Copenhagen is very expensive anyway.
Traveller's tip
Take plenty of money with you, a good meal for two with two drinks each is about 70 pounds on average, wherever you go to eat.
