Nice location if you want to be close to Skonto stadium

Nice, recently renovated hotel, a bit north of city center (still walking distance).

Not on a busy street, a bit outside the center.

Clean, spacious and efficient.

We stayed in a double room which had a small annexe with a sink, our friends had a leather sofa! The lobby is super, with leather sofas and lots of air. The staff were friendly if a little distant, but everything was dealt with efficiently. Breakfast was comprehensive, with fresh fruit too, when we were there. The breakfast room on the 7th floor is reached by lift only it seems, so bear this in mind if you don’t like lifts. There’s a great view from the top floor. It’s a longish walk to the old town, but there are plenty of buses - but not after midnight in the week it seems.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

The city tour is expensive but puts it all in perspective. The bus stops opposite the hotel. REMEMBER - the hotel told us they had no car park, so it will cost a daily rate in a secure area nearby if you have a car.If you are prepared to prime the meters outside the hotel you can do this.
