Amazing
We had a fantastic week at Montealmendros. Yes its a bit difficult to find but not too bad just take the Ronda Road and look for the turn off on your left for Almendros and its on that estate. OK we didn’t see a rep and the pick up of keys was strange but straight forward. The apartment couldn’t be faulted and as for the amazing views. The swimming pool was clean and safe. We will be returning without a doubt. Very comfortable. Try Alfredo’s in San Pedro for a real Spanish meal, and Largo’s on the front at San Pedro is great for Tapas and they speak good English and its fairly cheap. Try the golf house on the main road past the apartment for a drink while watching the sun go down.

Tivoli World at Benalmedena is fun for younger children, but go at night when the lights are on as its more atmospheric.

Nice, Clean and Well Equipped Apartment
These are very nice apartments, very clean and well equipped, with a nice view from the balconies. We didn’t find the apartments as difficult to locate as others, and the directions provided when we collected the keys were very good. However, we only found out a couple of days before travelling that we had to collect the keys from an office near the airport after checking with Expedia - make sure you don’t drive all the way to the apartments without getting the keys first! We had a toddler with us, and I’d say that the apartment was reasonably child-friendly, with the balcony walled and safe for playing on (although some of the apartments had railings we noticed). On the downside, we asked for a cot and highchair on booking, and these were not provided on our arrival, although this was rectified by the staff quickly. We had to pay extra for these unexpectedly though, which was not appreciated. A car is essential for getting to shops and restaurants, and the area around the apartments is not really suitable for walking, so it is not the place to go if you don’t want to get the car out every day. Unlike others, we did not get a welcome pack on arrival (which would have been nice!).
Traveller's tip
If you need to request equipment such as a cot or highchair, double-check with Expedia that this has been communicated to the accommodation owners and ask what the extra costs will be. Be prepared and have some change to pay tolls as the main road along the coast is a toll road and it is amazing how fast this can gobble up the Euros!
