Cascais not so confidential!
We stayed at the Cascais Miragem hotel for a week. I had reports of building works noise with some trepidation but can report little excessive noise other than the sound of the fountain in the pool and the occasional lunch-time siren! The breakfast buffet was outstanding and catered for every taste. I loved the fresh fruit and the smoked salmon & scrambled eggs. The room itself was well appointed and I was impressed by the courtesy of the hotel staff and the quantity of fluffy towels available. The only flaw in our stay was the lack of subway to the beach & promenade. This is likely to be completed by the end of this year and will no longer be an issue. I would happily go back to stay there again.
Favourite ice cream - Santini’s, established for 60 years and the small queue just gives you more time to choose your favuorite flavour! Trem Vehlo Bar - an old railway carriage next to the station with excellent bar snacks, a great atmosphere adn a long happy hour!

definitely 5 star
This was a great hotel stay - the service was first class, the rooms huge and very comfortable, bathroom luxurious, staff friendly and courteous. The 3rd floor terrace, with bar, restaurants and pool, was a great place to relax, and your every need was attended to.
Breakfast is included in the price, and it’s wonderful. For all other meals or snacks, go elsewhere as the hotel prices are very very expensive. There are many excellent bars, cafes and restaurants within 10 minutes walk.

Very impressed
We stayed here for four nights from the 22nd June. Lovely hotel and stunning views. No rush or need to reserve sunbeds as always free. Breakfast great and able to eat it in the garden. Only downside is the current building work next door to the hotel which you get used to but can be a trifle annoying at times. Would definitely return there.
