Impressive three star complex

The Bay View Hotel and Apartments complex offers ideal facilities as a base for visiting Malta. We stayed in a studio apartment, which was decorated in a modern way, with air-conditioning, television, twin beds and an excellent shower room. The maid service was daily and prompt. Tessie, the maid, was very friendly, as are all the staff at the complex. The hotel has excellent facilities, including internet access, although this is coin operated and is a little expensive at 1 Euro for 15 minutes. Remember to log out of accounts within this time, as when the access cuts, it sometimes leaves you logged in to sites like email and Facebook. This is not good for privacy. The pool area and fitness suite are excellent, with both an indoor and outdoor pool. One small drawback though, is that although the pool area is no smoking, people still light up and are not questioned. Although banned island-wide in public places, the Maltese seem to turn a blind eye to the habit. We ate in the hotel’s Indian restaurant, the Bombay Palace, where the food was delicious and very reasonable, with a meal for two coming to Euro29. Views from the poolside terrace on the roof are excellent and look across to Valetta. Some of the hotel rooms also have this view, but inland views (as was ours) are not so picturesque and can include rooftops and ventilation shafts.

Although Gzira/Sliema offer many restaurants, a bus ride to nearby St Julians is 47 eurocents and this resorts offers a massive choice for eating out. There is a bus stop directly outside the Bay View Hotel.

i came back from this hotel yesterday it was good value for money.excelent location, clean rooms, great restaurant manager...it was just pleasure to stay there.maby breakfast could be better but for this money that was moe than i expected. hope to come back to bayview soon

i dont really remember exact name i think it was tri angelis...just w fievw steps away is good food and not expensive

I’d stay there again if returning to Malta

We went for the double bed apartment offered by Bayview. I wasn’t expecting huge things but when we got to the room I was struck by the cleanliness, size and comfort of the place. You could sleep 4 people there easy. A drawback to the place is that it is a bit away from the hotel itself so the pool isn’t really an option unless you are very motivated. It has a good location close to restaurants, bus routes (use the bus!!!) and the ferry. There is nothing happening in the hotel itself though but you are only 5 mins from the nightlife on the bus. Can’t judge service cause had the do not disturb sign up but they left bagged fresh towls outside the door which was nice. Reception staff were excellent.
