One of the best
Stayed in Jan 08 for a week. Food UNBELIEVABLY good, service excellent, staff very freindly and could not do enough. Location perfect for a quiet getaway - close enough for PLENTY skiing. Now, the points to note - the kids club is only free to over 3 years old. There is no ski slop for kids outside the kids club (both these points are NOT identified as having been changed, so check before you go). The cable car leaves from 50m from reception, but there is a 300m pole uphill to the chairlift when you get off- as an alterntive, the hotel runs a free shutle bus to Sestriere. We got an un-annouced upgrade - booked a 2 bed exec suite, and got a 2 bed apartment, with kichenette - very modern, spacious, and CLEAN!! (they have an ARMY of housekkeping staff. Babysitting is available by speaking to the girls in the kids club - we took our 3 year old for the early kids dinner from 6-7pm, then used a babysitter so we could eat quietly later on. Note, they might try to bill you 11 euros for the kids menu - ifyou are half board, your whole party is half board - gt the bill rduced when you check out. Ski rental on site - lift pass in advance from reception, or from the cable car office; Deli has drinkls, snack etc., and staff who love kids. Would definately go back.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Not a mssive nightlife spot in Pragelato, so avoid if you want to party all night - the bar & 4 restaurants are very good, but all within the resort. The snowpark in the village isgreat for kids - say you are from the hotel and they will lend you 3 man sled free - even has a sledging area with crashmats etc.
