Restaurant
main course portion size was very disappointing. Sea bass and clams comprised 2 small strips of sea bass (2 inches long) and 5 tiny clams plus 2 lettuce leaves and some small diced veg for 17 poonds was very poor value.

Comedy of Errors
Breakfast at Rosslea Hall was definitely an experience. Upon entering the dining room we were seated at a dirty table. There were food stains and crumbs from the previous guest all over the tablecloth. We looked around the room and noticed that all but one of the empty tables had clean tablecloths. A staff member came and changed that tablecloth. Assuming that we had been seated at a dirty table by mistake, my husband suggested that our tablecloth needed to be changed as well. The staff member replied "No it doesn’t. We only change them if they get really bad." At least we were able to find the humor in the situation and looked at each other and laughed. Next, my husband pointed out that we didn’t have any table service. The staff member replied "yeah you do, right over there" and pointed to the place settings on the other side of our table. Now, we were starting to feel like we were in a T.V. sitcom or on Candid Camera. The bright spot here is that they have a great chef. The food was wonderful. It is a shame that the service was a comedy of errors.

Very Comfortable
My stay was with my boyfriend for his birthday. Upon arrival we initailly drove past the hotel as it is set back slightly from the main road, the road up to the hotel was a little rough. Once up at the front door from the outside the hotel looked good. The service at the front desk when checking in was prompt and quick. The room was clear, tidy and modern very impressed. The rooms view was beautiful. We didn’t eat in the bar or the restrauant but both menus looked inviting. Breakfast was good and prompt with a choice of a hot breakfast combination. Really enjoyed our stay the area was beautiful but quiet. The location was ideal for visiting most places in loch lomond. Would defo return.
Try the bar food at the hotel in the bar we didn’t but the menu and prices looked good and we wished we had!
