Beautiful setting yet close to marina
Just returned from a weekend at the Lake Resort. Everything was perfect, staff were exceptional. The only one problem was the prices. No reason to hang around the hotel for meals when the marina is so close. A small white coffee at the pool bar 4 Euros and a bottle of Bud 5.50. The four of us had a bar snack one evening as it was raining too hard to go to the marina. We did have some drinks as well but our bill was over 100.00!! In the restaurant main meals were about 35 euros, starters 15 euros, so better value to be had a short walk away. Other than the prices, the hotel grounds are stunning and it is a wonderful place to stay.
There is a tourist train that stops just outside the hotel and travels around the resort for 3.50. The trip takes about 40 minutes. It is even a good way to get to the other side of the marina.

Quality hotel, but...
The hotel is very grand. The staff were extremely helpful, the grounds beautiful and the amenities well presented. The hotel did lack a bit of colour - very stark in its decoration, but overall, for a 5 star hotel it ticked most the boxes.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
Limited in the hotel - excellent pianist on a Friday night, that was it! find your entertainment elsewhere.

GREAT HOTEL
WE WENT FOR A QUICK 3 DAY BREAK AND THE HOTEL WAS LOVELY.WE ARE A BIT PARTICULAR ABOUT 5* HOTEL BEING JUST THAT AND THIS WAS,BUT IT IS NOT 3YRS OLD YET.THE MARINA NEXT DOOR,A WALK AWAY IS NOT NICE,CHEAP FOOD AND WATERED DOWN WINE,WE COULD NOT WAIT TO GET BACK TO THE HOTEL WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE NOTHING GOES ON THERE,SO ALL IN ALL NOT BAD FOR 3 DAYS.
