The good thing is the location
The hotel is well located. You are very close (walking distance) but also a little apart from the hectic tourist part of the city, that for me was the big plus of the hotel, but when you read and see the hotels description you never know how old it is, I mean, 1940s, bug keychain on your hotel key (yes, they still use keys), two people elevator, a very old one. Also the hotel does not have a restaurant and the advertised room service is from the bar and is just sandwiches. They only have a small area for the breakfast service, which was nice and very well attended. The hotel is OK, but there are much better options in the city for the same rate. It will definitely not be my first option for my next trip to this beautiful city.
I recommend taking a short taxi ride to a part of the city called: "Doca de Santo Amaro". There you will find great scenery and they transformed old warehouses into restaurants, very upscale and refined. We wanted something cozy and decided to try "Don Pomodoro" and Italian restaurant and it was amazing!! (Be careful, with bread they will bring Procciutto di Parma but they will charge you 9 euros for it, dont think is complimentary, nothing is complimentary not even the water or the bread) but you will have many choices and they all look great! Dinner at this pier is a very nice way to finish your day.

The only place to stay in Lisbon
I found this hotel on Trip Advisor. As soon as I walked in I knew I had made the right choice. The hotel only has around 30 rooms but the service was friendly and faultless and because of its intimacy was,for me,vastly superior to staying in a well known chain hotel.Im picky but was mightily impressed.
The restaurants that have been developed near the Docks offer a wide choice of cuisine.
