Something a little different
Was in a tower block which was reminded us of hotels we have stayed in the old communist countries. Look a bit out of keeping with the area.More self catering than a hotel. Items listed in kinchenette not all available i.e. microwave. View from balcony exceptional as over the sea. Was spectacular when we had a thunderstorm one night and also watching the yatchs racing on a Sunday morning. Room comfortable and functional.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Short drive to Denmark ferry takes 45 mins.Suggest take train to Copenhagen which is only 2 hours.Next to hotel new swimming pool, well worth it as has wave machine waterslide and 3 pools.Plenty for babies also. Recommended restaurants in centre -Magdelane’s or Steak & Fisch.This is also one of the windiest places we have stayed which is why there are probably so many windfarms.Helps if you can speak some German as English not widely spoken.Overall enjoyed holiday as different from the norm.

Great location
We stayed here en route through Europe. It was a great bargain and in an excellent location - right on the beach. The nearby town, Burg, was very charming. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
We ate at a bakery in Burg. better value and more exciting.

Very good but a little hard to find
The hotel was a little out of the way at three in the morning! Not easy to find, but worth the drive for. The view out to sea in the morning was great and the breakfast worth getting up for. Will use again!
Although the rooms have well equiped kitchens, there is absolutley nothing there on arrival. If you arrive late, as we did, there is no chance of a hot drink or something to eat, so arrive with something to pop in the fridge!
