Trendy but sterile and not very convenient for leisure travelers
Hotel has a very attractive lobby bar area, but I never saw it open the whole time we were there. It would have been a nice place to enjoy a drink at the end of the day, but it actually seemed (like the restaurant in the lobby ) to be more of a prop. It was a taxi ride into the historic city center and there is absolutely nothing to attractive to see in the immediate area. It is probably cleaner and nicer than most of the comparably priced hotels in town, but it was lifeless. It would only be a good choice if there is a great room rat, because you need to factor in taxi rides to and from everywhere unless you have arrived by car. The room was very warm but we were informed that there is no air conditioning until May, so we had to leave the window open all night and listen to to all the noise outside during the night.
Annamaria’s was a very nice place for lunch.

Awesome hotel in a not so awesome location
While the hotel AC Bologna was superb, its unlikely location somewhat spoiled it. The hotel was completely modern with wireless internet, gorgeous bathroom & minimalist decor. I’d taken a train in from Padova and took a bus the rest of the way in as I’m very adventurous(Bus# 21). The same bus will take you to the lovely center of town for an incredible shopping & culinary experience! (Walking distance from Fiere grounds- 15 minutes)
