Le Home Residece, Tignes
Crazy room numbering, absoltely no logic to the system at all but if you’re after basic neccessities and a reasonable location within the resort - this is he place for you. Bear in mind, the room will only be as clean as you leave it, get the feeling there’s no other cleaning done on changeover day!
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Try and call at the suermarkets at Bourg St Maurice before going up the mountain, the small convenience stores are NOT CHEAP as is to be expected within the resort!

Not impressed
You need to take sheets and towels as they charge you for both of these!!! It’s cold inside so you need to sleep with lots of clothers. Be careful you have to pick up and drop off the keys on the other side of town 2km away and they don’t offer a shuttle service so we had to walk at 2 in the morning 2km with our bag to get from the place to pick up the keys to the apartment.

The place was cheap but good value. We had a really nice view of the mountain, short walk to the hire place, local shops, restaurants and bus stop which took us to the lifts for free. We could ski back in in the eve! Good selection of crockery and pans but the only means of cooking is 4 rings. It was cosy but enough room for 4 people, with bunk beds in the hall and sofa bed can be 2 singles or large double in the lounge. Sheets are extra but not v expensive, worth taking your own towels though. A locked locker is provided downstairs for skis and boots too, v. handy! Keys have to be collected from the neighbouring resort, accessable by free bus or car. (Could not find free parking for the week) Perfect for our tight budget, very much enjoyed!

Take your swim suit cos the local spa is well worth the money with a huge variety of showers and steam rooms
