Very good Hotel, English spoken even though off the beaten track
This Hotel was very comfortable, English was spoken by most of the staff. It is situated about 4 miles from the main motorway that goes down to Austria. Just one thing to watch out for is the invitation by the front desk to make use of the indoor pool. We took him up on the offer and borrowed bath robes to use at the pool. We had our swimming gear with us, but found that the German guests did not bother with such niceties. My wife had a bit of a shock and it was a case of "Don’t look Ethel".

Fantastic views - quiet
We wanted a quiet hotel and that is what we got. The views were incredible. The breakfast was amazing. It is an older hotel, but that is part of the charm.

Good stop off on the way to the Alps
Spent the night at the Klingerhof on the way to the Salzkammergut in Austria. We chose it because it was almost exactly 1/2 way to our destination (we had taken the ferry to Rotterdam). I thought we were in for a bland executive hotel, but it had a the personal touch and was a few miles off the autobahn so as to be peaceful and quiet. It’s position on a hill overlooking the rolling German countryside gave some lovely views and there was a number of paths and tracks to enjoy a relaxing walk. We ate in the restaurant (didn’t want to drive any further that day!) it’s a traditionally styled stüble, the service was good and the food was tasty. Didn’t try out the swiimming pool and wellness centre as we were too tired! Overall, decent value, good service and a better experience than I’d expected.
