Overall a good deal.
The hotel was convenient to the airport and close to a bus stop that had busses into Thessaloniki - however, the bus ride into the city was close to an hour. Other than that, I cant say enough about the staff at the hotel and the breakfast! Both were outstanding. Rooms were comfortable and clean. AND the non-smoking rooms didnt smell like smoke. Overall a good value for your money.
After several weeks in Greece, I needed a break from feta cheese and olives : ), so I went to the Ikea store for an affordable and different meal. It was packed with locals dining out and is located at the hub for all of the different buses. A complete dinner cost about the same as an appetizer and a salad or bowl of soup in a restaurant.

Poor Service
We booked through Expedia with specific request for large room for the price, as I had some physio exercises to do...The receptionist really couldnt care less, and said that no request had been received, only when I produced a copy of the request from my bag did she shrug, and repeated like an automation that it was room 108 or a suite. A giggling companion, (I think he was the maintenance man) sniggered as they spoke to each other in Greek obviously laughing at my request. The room was fine, reasonable size and clean. The meal in restaurant was ok, but the price of two bacardi and cokes at 8.50 euros each was a complete rip off. No service at the pool, we were supposed to ring for a bar man, again no sign of service at all. We wanted to eat at 1pm on the Monday, due to our flight times, but were told we could have toast as the chef left after breakfast, which stopped at 10.30, and we could have something at 3pm. As we chose this hotel because it claimed to be so close to the aiport, we thought that some food would be available, but no! An expensive taxi ride in to the centre of town meant we did get a bite to eat eventually. If you want location near to airport not a bad place to stay. I wont ever again because the service was so so poor.
