Perfectly decent hotel
Given some of the negative reviews I had read on the internet, I was a bit apprehensive, but while the hotel is not luxurious, it is certainly serviceable. As a vegetarian, I found plenty of options at meal time. The indoor pool was clean and well-heated, and the tiny gym is what you would expect in Tunisia. The location of the hotel is perfect, and it is the only one in the area smack dab on the beach. Sousse itself has some lovely things to see, including the Mosque and the Ribat.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If you want to taste the best beer in Tunisia, take the tourist train to Port el-Kantaoui. There is a microbrewery there.
