Enjoyable Visit
Great location. Walking distance (about 20 minutes) to the Duomo past La Scala. Close to Brera Gallery and also nice but expensive restaurants. Only downside of the hotel was that the airconditioning was not working at the hotel was too warm at night. The breakfasts were sufficient

Would definitely go back
Excellent location - 20 yards/metres from a metro station. Hotel staff friendly and responded well to our attempts to speak Italian (it always helps). Gave us some recommendations for nearby (within a 10 minute walk) restaurants - not the cheapest but first class food (try the Ristorante Stendhal). Only problem was with the room temperature overnight. As with many Italian hotels, the air conditioning does not function well (if at all) outside the summer season. However by leaving the window open while we out and turning the air-conditioning OFF, we found that the room temperature during the night was OK. Keep the room lighting to the minimum - the lights (particularly the 3 in the bathroom generate a lot of heat !!).
If you are there for a few days, get to know the tram and bus system - we only used the metro and felt that we could have got about quicker if wed used all the public transport facilites. We came in by taxi from Linate - took about 20 minutes (although can be longer if traffic is heavy). Cost about 20 euros (in Nove 2009).

shuttle service to airport was not worthed.
I have to say that this service attracted me to this hotel, as we were not staying in Milan but flying out of it early in the morning, first you have to call them to come and pick you up so think about that, you might need to pay as much as you pay a cab to take you to a near by hotel just to make a call and then, it took them half an hour to come and pick us up and the hotel was just 10 min away and after they showed up we had to wait another ten min to pick up some other traveler who never showed up! When I complained, there was no apology! I was told it was not that long, but I had the time of the call I made, recorded on my phone so I was not wrong. Also the time that they recommended to us to go to airport was way too early we had to hang out in the airport for two hours before hour flight, you can say that was partly our fault though.
Traveller's tip on dining
On the positive side, they have a small and not fancy restaurant but the food was great I think my husband and I ordered everything that there was on the menu and they were all delicious. There are no restaurants near by, by the way.
