GreenLine Hotel Passauer Hof
The hotel restaurant Passauer Hof is in the middle of the aerial health resort Eging am See near Passau in the Bavarian wood. Nice rooms, a marvelous beergarden and a typically Bavarian restaurant provide for rest. The hotel is excellent for excursions to great sceneries, you also reach very good the leisure park Pullmann City. Families, single traveler also groups will find here to her comfortable home on time in the midst of marvelous nature.

Pleasantly Surprised
We chose this hotel through Expedia search as a ’stopover motel’ driving back from Prague to Munich airport when hotels near Munich were fully booked for a convention, and were pleasantly surprised by its charming ambience, cleanliness and food. For GPS navigation, this hotel is actually in Eging-am-See, a village, off the beaten track in pastoral areas near scenic national parks. Our double room was very clean and comfortable and there is a nice evergreen and shade tree back yard. The attached restaurant and bar is very good for German-Austrian cuisine and continental breakfast was excellent. Hotel reception staffing is sparse but folksy and friendly. The hotel is part of the Greenline chain, and the balconies of the exterior of the building (apparently a former Gasthouse) need some refurbishment. But if you are not in a rush to get somewhere, it’s a very pleasant place to stay.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If you are exploring the countryside in the lower Alpine regions and national parks in the Duggendorf-Passauer region where Germany and Austria meet and like the local cuisine, this hotel could be a very comfortable jumping off point and place to rest.
