Peace and Quiet
This hotel is located right off the beach. The price was a little high for me though and I would place it at a 3 star. The location is on the rural island of Cheung Chau There are no cars. Everyone walks or rides a bicycles. I had a large suitcase so I was just about pooped out to travel the 15 minute walk from the pier to get there. It was 12:30 AM and after traveling for almost 24 hours I was just looking for the hotels bed.The signs arent the greatest to show you the way there either. It is mostly populated by the locals there. I didnt spent but a few days there. There are plenty of fresh fish markets displaying their catches and small restaurants to choose from. Im afraid that English may not be always understood there. I had no problem at the one and only commercial eatery,Mac Donalds, or 7 11,lol. The ferry is your only way to travel anywhere from the outlying islands. It is about a 35 minute ferry ride to Hong Kong island by fast ferry that is. The hotel has its own restaurant but I didnt eat there. If you dont mind walking or bicycling and want real peace and quiet away from the busy city of Hong Kong city. This might meet your needs.

Take a walk at the beach, which is right in front of the hotel. Check out the small street (but not at late night, You might get lost in it).

The perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of HK
Warwick Hotel overlooks East Bay Cheung Chau, the balconies are bathed in morning and evening sunshine, swimming from the sandy beach is safe and the water clean. The harbour is only 5 minutes walk where you can watch the fishing boats and ferries and dine on the finest fresh seafood. The island walks are picturesque and well signed, but beware of mosquitoes! A charming hotel with friendly, efficient service.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Cheung Chau island is probably the best of all the islands. It is small enough to explore thoroughly, but not too small or tourist orientated. The locals love to come there by ferry in the evenings because the food is inexpensive and excellent quality. HK is only half an hour on the highspeed ferry and after a day trudging the shopping malls, this is the place to come home to.
