50/50: Review from a couple (mid 20s)

The hotel itself (except the reception area) looks like it could do with a coat of paint but the gardens are very well maintained which helps to improve the appearance. The room was basic but clean and had a good shower which was handy when coming back from the beach to wash away all the sand. Only real annoyance was the towels as they’re collected in the morning/afternoon, washed and returned in the afternoon/evening. Once night they arrived at 8.30pm which was far from ideal seeing as we returned to our room around 5pm and wanted to shower before heading out to dinner around 7pm. We opted for B&B which we couldn’t have been happier with as the food was horrendous. Breakfast was an array of different breads (all stale), an egg station which did fried or omlettes and a doughnut and pancake station. There was no fruit/yoghurt/cereal in sight meaning we often skipped breakfast to avoid feeling greasy and bloated. The pools were decent though (we stuck to the quiet one but there is one with music blaring if you prefer) and there was always a sunlounger available. On the whole, the location and price we paid helped us overlook the hotel appearance but the breakfast offer was incredibly shocking for a 3* and means if we return to Agadir we’d definitely pay a bit more for a hotel with better food to start the day.

Traveller's tip on dining

When going to Agadir steer clear of the restaurants on the beach (except Les Blancs near the marina). Where you see the Pizza Hut and McDonalds, there’s a road that takes you to the road behind the beach. Turn right onto this road and you’ll see far better restaurants with wonderful food for the same or lower price than on the beach.

Hopeless Customer Service

Book if you want a room with a view of a wall, and don’t mind paper thin walls so you can hear the people staying next door going to the toilet.

Excellent Value for Money with great view of the ocean

This hotel is right on the beach and most rooms have great views of the ocean though make sure you get one on the third level (which means there are lots of steps to climb but worth it!). The best thing with this hotel is how the clean the rooms are, you could eat your dinner of the floor! They are also very comfortable. The hotel was refurbished last year so the main bar is very modern with very friendly staff. The two pools are again spotless. Only downside was the breakfast, not very apetising so we ate out at one of the many restaurants on the beach front. I would stay at the this hotel again as it is excellent value for money near the new marina.
