Was Expecting More
The standard room was tiny, needed to upgrade to a "Junior Suite" to have normal amount of space. Wireless internet and hot tub did not work! Common area was over grown and dirty, dark at night walking back to room. New beach chairs/towels are needed. I’ve stayed in Negril 7 times so far, always trying new places, this was not our favorite. The resort has SO much potential! Perfect location and ’tiki hut’ restrnt/bar.
Sea Wind, 2 resorts down for great food and bonfire on beach!

A pleasant stay
We are an architect and small hotel owners. We searched for a hotel that had architectural character,a good beach and pleasant atmosphere. We found all three at the Sea Splash Resort on Negril Beach. The outdoor spaces were a wonderful jungle-like garden, the buildings created a comforting feeling of an old European village. The beachside structures are well designed and house a top notch restaurant,friendly bar/sitting area and well maintained pool. The beach side service was low key-just what we wanted. Jamaican apples sold on the beach are a must try. The jerk chicken $10 in the beach shack next door was the best. Ask for our friend "yellow" to set you up. Don’t rely on the buses to get you there and back to the airport in a timely manner. Hire a local car and driver or rent a car. We’ll go back!

A quiet oasis
I only stayed at Seasplash for one night but enjoyed every minute of it and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Negril. Everything from check-in, where we were upgraded to a beautiful junior suite, to check-out ran smoothly, with the staff being helpful in a relaxed way. The hotel is situated right on seven mile beach but still manages to feel peaceful with beautifully kept walkways and pond. We ate in Norma’s the evening we were there and the food was delicious. I recommend the shrimp.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
A must for everyone visiting Negril is a visit to Rick’s Cafe. Go during the day for the best atmosphere when you can see the cliff divers.
