Quick, Clean, and Easy!
The hotel was a 5 minute shuttle ride from the Barajas Airport which is why I selected it. The rooms were very clean and they look new. They had free internet access in the lobby and complimentary drinks in the minibar, quite a nice touch. I’d recommend this for anyone needing a quick qirport hotel considering it is a 30 minute subway ride into central Madrid.
Traveller's tip
Bring 20cents for the pay phone to call the hotel upon your arrival at the airport. The shuttle arrives quickly because they are so close, however they won’t schedule a pickup ahead of time.

Nice hotel, below par service
Hotel Clements is in downtown Barajas, about 10 min taxi ride from the hotel- I called the hotel, and I was relieved to find out they provide a shuttle bus service- alas, he never showed up and when I called back, they told me the service had finished for the night. When I finally got to the hotel at Midnight, the bar was closed and my "non smoking" room smelt like a cigar club. I was parched, but despite asking, there were no drinks in my mini bar and didn’t receive much help at all throughout my short stay... Not impressed.
Traveller's tip for business travellers
BEWARE- if you have just landed at the airport, and are staying in the Barajas area, you’ll have big problems pursuading a taxi driver to take you to such a close destination- I had several arguments after a 2 hour wait outside the (Chaotic) taxi rank in the airport- extremely frustrating. In the end, I had to bribe a driver to take me there- not impressed at all. Find out before you take off whether your hotel operates a shuttle bus service- and book it!
