Can’t wait to go back
This was a beautiful hotel. Had a room with an awesome view of Lake Como, which happens to be my favorite vacation spot. I will book my next vacation at the Palace Hotel and recommend this hotel to friends and family.

great view
For being a very warm September, this hotel had a/c. The beds were comfortable, the view of the lake was wonderful (ask for a lake view). There was remodeling of the walkway out front, but quiet over the weekend we were there. It came with breakfast, great typical european selection. Close walk to everything, wish we had had more time!

Not overly impressed
Hotel was smart, room was well kept but for a double was very small. Had to move the bed and side table to open the wardrobe door fully. This supposedly a superior room but nothing very special about it. Road to front of hotel was noisy til the early hours so havng the window open at night was a definate no if you wanted undisturbed rest. Air con was quite quiet on the low setting so possible to use that. Some staff were more helpful than others, some a little aloof. Restaurant expensive, but a good selection at breakfast. Garden Bar prices not too bad and staff very helpful and friendly.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Train from airport to Como easy to use. Just a bit awkward with cases a few steps at Sarrono. Train from Sarrono to Como used by locals so can be quite full at rush hour times. Considerably cheaper than private hire about 25euros each and took about 1.5hrs, car was 100 euros but very convenient, 40mins straight to departure terminal.
