Average - Sure theres better
Although at first glance the hotel seemed nice it could do with a new coat of paint especially in the rooms and the breakfast room. Weekend breakfast runs until 10am but they dont seem to put out any new/extra food from 945 onwards by which time theres not much left so not very welcoming for people wanting to enjoy a relaxing weekend. Fairly decent location - 10min walk to Wenscelas Sq and 20mins to the Old Town Hall and felt very safe. All in all not bad but could do better.

Great Location - not great in the heat!
The hotel was in an ideal location, close to the new town, not far from the old town and just round the corner from the Metro, resturants and bars. The only problem with the hotel was the very uncomfortable bed and the temperature in the room. It was Prague summertime when we stayed here and was about 35 everyday, yet the air conditioning wasnt on every day and when it was, it was only on for a few minutes. Also, on a couple of occassions the heating was even on! The room was often unbearably warm.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
I would stay at this hotel againt because of its great location - but only in the Winter!!!

Hotel DaVinchi
First off, let me say that its not actually at Wenceslas square, its about 6-8 minute walk away from the Square (Which is more of a long street with statures in the middle) Aside from that the hotel was nice, pleasant staff excellent continental breakfast options and a very good maid service. The hotel is in an excellent position for people who dont want to be caught in the main part of the tourist area and want to explore at their own leisure.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
The prices of the alcohol in Prague varies greatly, if you stick to the tourist areas you will pay up to 4 quid for a 0.5l pilsner while taking a walk to the outlying areas you will find a 0.5l pilsner for about 30 pence. My advice to anyone visiting Prague that is not on a Stag is to stay clear of the Wenceslas square Friday-Sunday and take a wander about the other areas in Nove Misto which have some excellent points of interest and a plethora of places with cheap food and drink.
