Fort Worth Stockyards
Very comfortable and in a fun location right in the tourist area which will get you in the mood. Breakfast in the hotel was excellent and complimentary. You have to see the cowboys, cattle drive, rodeo, Billy Bobs etc but in the honky tonks you meet local people which is always good. Very easy to get to Sundance Square which is rather more cosmopolitan. In fact very easy to find your way around Fort Worth from this location.
We bought tickets to see a show in Billy Bob’s but after the first number they took down the barriers and everyone else got in for free.

safe, comfortable, and convient
The staff at the Hyatt Place were very personable and social. It was easy to speak with them. We had to ask the maids to come in a couple times. The maid did not understand English enough to know "we will be leaving in a few minutes, then you can come into clean the room." I booked 3 rooms, and one of my guests said the maid came into the room while he was there, took his bagle and newspaper, and did not provide them towels or clean the room.
The children will not want to leave the hotel. You will have to pry them out of the hotel. The hotel has a great continental breakfast and swimming pool. All the desires of a child; food and play. The area has great shopping, restaurants, and attractions of the old west.
