long walk for breakfast!
My room was a slightly strange shape in comparison to other rooms I think. It meant the only place for the suitcase was tucked in a corner which wasnt that convenient. There was a big picture window and window seat overlooking a square and main road. The TV was boxed in a large cabinet. No DVD player sadly. The bathroom was well appointed with bathtub and separate shower and loo. All were enclosed in glass partitions which made it rather cramped. Also there was no vanity/shaving mirror. There was a small desk. I have a feeling the safe was not attached which made it rather pointless. Complimentary shoe shine was a nice surprise. However the internet was not free which was irritating given the cost of the room. Breakfast was in a different tower which meant a walk of approximately 10 mins. The business centre in my tower was closed too which meant another walk to the other tower. Breakfast was about 150RMB for a decent buffet including freshly cooked eggs and chinese food. All in all the stay was fine but treking to the other tower was a bore.

A great stay
Great staff with real expertise in helping me explore the city and surrounding areas. In addition the concierge connected me with a private guide who helped me understand/appreciate the famous Terra Cotta warriors. The hotel has an ideal city center location that offers easy access to monuments, the old city wall and interesting neighborhoods.
