Good choice for budget-minded traveler
Hotel Majestic is one of the less expensive hotels in Brindisi. My room (a single) was small (but typical for a European hotel) but very clean. The furnishings were somewhat dated. It is located on one of the main streets of the town and is a 10-15 minute walk from the harbor promenade. Most of the staff speaks English and all were very helpful.
Traveller's tip on dining
Brindisi, like most of southern Italy, takes its daily siesta seriously. Almost all shops and restaurants are closed from about 1:30PM (13:30) to 5:00PM (17:00), and the restaurants that are open typically have a limited menu.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in
The rooms are not clean. The carpets have not seen a hover in months. There is no free internet access. The only internet access I got was when sitting in the so called bar (hardly) and then it was a pay for service that kept dropping out. It takes two days to get laundry returned, at best. How this hotel gets 4 stars beats me as I stay in hotels around the world every week of the year. There are cheaper hotels in Brindisi that are at least clean, so I have been told.
