valamar president
nice hotel, wonderful staff, easy to manage with 2 year old, bus into town was no problem
Very easy place with kids. dont bother about the Lopud trip - the Shujn beach was difficult to get to and full of wasps. No decent food so stick with the city beach or the Lapad area

Absolutely wonderful hotel we will definitely return
Booked for 3 nights initially and were so impressed with the superior room, balcony, breakfast, beach and staff we stayed a further 3 nights. We went on to Montenegro thinking we would stay for a week but decided after two nights we missed the luxury of the President Hotel so contacted the President Hotel and, despite the hotel being full, managed to give us a room for another two nights.The reception staff (John and Nevanka) were so professional and efficient, it was a pleasure to deal with them. The bus into Pile Gate and one to Gruz Harbour both stop outside hotel regularly. Fantastic place to stay.
Traveller's tip on dining
Nowhere is cheap to eat in Dubrovnik. We ate quite a lot on the bar/terrace of President Hotel listening to live music and overlooking fabulous moonlit views of the Adriatic Sea and Elphati Islands because it was no cheaper anywhere outside that we found.

Fantastic Property!
What a great place to stay. The rooms where huge, clean and all had 180 degree views of the sea with a large balcony. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.
