Great Location, decent hotel
The hotel staff was very nice, and the hotel is in a great location to many attractions. My main complanint was that the room never really seemed cleaned, and basics liks soap and shampoo were only replaced once in 2 weeks.

Phoenix Hotel, great staff and service, great location
I stayed in the Best Western Phoenix for five nights. London was very hot and crowded and the Hotel was busy. Situated in a fairly quiet street and near to two Tube Stations it is an ideal location for getting around and shopping and sightseeing locally. Continental breakfast was included and additional hot food could be purchased. My room was cleaned and tidied and clean towels provided each day. Staff were pleasant and helpful; comfortable seating areas available on ground floor. There were no problems and I enjoyed my stay.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Whiteleys shopping centre is near and very useful as it includes a cinema and several restaurants. Ideal if you have done enough travelling and want to eat locally. Kensington Palace and Gardens are near, and easily accessible by foot. Both Bayswater and Quewensway Tube Stations are handy for exploring London.

The best thing is the location
Situated on Poole Quay the hotel provides access to Poole Old Town and is a convenient base for exploring the lovely Dorset coast and countryside. The hotel itself is bland and fairly anonymous, but that seems par for the course with modern chains. Friendly reception staff, but otherwise unremarkable and quite expensive for what you get unless you can negotiate a preferencial deal. Car parking at an additonal cost per night.
Plenty of cafes nearby where breakfast comes cheaper than at the hotel.
