Nice hotel--maybe a little too modern
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Everything was very neat, and their leisure center, with pool, steam room, and sauna was very nice (swim caps required, though). Their rooms, though, were a little too modern for my tastes. You had to leave a room card in a slot to get the lights on, etc. One issue was that originally, they didn’t have the correct number of beds in the room which we had paid extra for. The hotel remedied the situation, though.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
The Blarney Castle & stone are nearby. The grounds are beautiful, but I wouldn’t bother venturing too far into the castle if you’re afraid of heights or small spaces. It was especially terrifying on a rainy day.

Nice Hotel But a Little Remote
Room was Business Class - spacious and well decorated. Overall, the hotel has a good feel and is of a high specification. Only negative points were the food which was not to our satisfaction and that it was rather cold and drafty in the dining and bar areas. It is about 5 miles away from the city centre but there is a small station about 5 minutes walk away which is hidden between 2 N roads and there are no signs, so check with reception before you set out.

Very nice hotel would go again
I was travelling with my husband and 7 mt old baby. The hotel was lovely. They provided a travel cot and the room was quite big so we weren’t squashed with the cot. Its in a great location for fota and just outside the entrance to the right is an estate with a spar shop, cafe, supermacs, pizza hut and kfc. There was also a pharmacy which is handy when you’ve kids:) Overall hotel and staff were great but food was expensive
