Great hotel and good location
Clean rooms, with a safe (at no extra cost), good breakfasts with helpful staff, most of which spoke good English. If they were on the desk then they did speak good English. Restaurants in easy walking distance (5 mins) all of which served tasty, quality food. Drinking chocolate in the hotel is delicious!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
People say get the bus to Auschwitz and Birkenau, but fail to say that you need to go through the railway station, using the under pass to all the platforms and go (at the far end) up a cleverly disguised set of stairs, to get to the bus station. Krakow we did on our feet, all four of us are in our sixties; so no need for taxis. That meant we were able to walk off some of the wonderful food that we had eaten, purchased at very reasonable prices and of excellent quality.

A great place to stay!
The Ester was a wonderful hotel. I was in Poland for vacation and just had a great time. I travel a good deal, and I wish every hotel I stay at was as nice as the Ester!
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
There are great tour companies available in Krakow to visit places like the birthplace of John Paul II, Auschwitz, and the Salt Mine. The Salt Mine is worth seeing!

Charming hotel
A charming hotel in the Jewish quarter - helpful and polite staff - good quality food plenty of choice for breakfast - very comfortable room with excellent bathroom - the whole area was very interesting with many restaurants to choose from- all with attentive and helpful staff.Hope to visit again sometime - thank you Hotel Ester for a great time.
