Needs to work on the details
My impression is that the landmark is firstly a shopping mall and they built a hotel on top of it. The hotel is small and it seems as if they dont fully know how to run a hotel. They got all the big things right such as decorations, amenities and everything in the checklist to become a 5-star hotel, but there were many subtle details that were annoying. For example, the door to the bathroom would always slam because of the hinges and there was no padding between the glass door and the marble wall so it made a huge sound unless I carefully closed the door manually. The audio/video system was very impressive and extremely easy to use. This was one of the highlights of the room, but the sound seemed to have too much bass. As a result, the voices in the DVD that I brought with me were way too low. It sounded like everybody was trying to be really macho and talk really deep. I called the technical staff, but they were unable to fix it. They told me that I had a bad DVD, but Ive played that DVD many times and it never had that problem before. I was not so much upset at the sound problem as I was that they tried to blame me for the problem. The showers in the spa were very hard to figure out how to operate. I had to call the attendant for help turning on my shower. Although beautiful, the design of the handles is not very intuitive. I asked for late checkout and they could not accommodate me. Most hotels will usually let me stay at least an hour later by simply re-adjusting the cleaning schedule. This hotel is the first that wasnt able to let me check out a single minute later.
