Our first visit to Cyprus
This was our first visit to Cyprus. Our aim was to combine seeing as much of Paphos as possible, with sun, some good local wine and food and a comfortable hotel. We achieved all that we wanted. The weather in April suited us perfectly. We hired a car which gave us freedom and the ability to travel all round the western half of Cyprus. The Louis Imperial was perfect for our needs. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The hotel had plenty of facilities such as the gym, indoor and oudoor pools, relaxing bar and coffee lounge. The gardens were a great pleasure to relax in on our days off from sightseeing. The location suited us as not being too close to the town centre but within easy walking distance to the harbour and fort. Breakfast was served in a fairly large dining room and the quality was superb with as much as you could eat. We only had one dinner at the hotel and although the food was equally as good as breakfast it lacked the ambiance of a smaller restaurant. This was not important becasuse there are numerous restaurants within 500m of the hotel serving Cyprus, French, Italian, Greek, Japanese ect food so we were spoiled for choice. The hotel staff were always friendly, helpful and efficient. Overall it was great value for money, we had a truly memorable holiday and would certainly go back to this hotel

On the beach in Paphos
We arrived at 4am in the morning to find a very dishevelled room with only 2 beds instead of 3. My complaint was eventually dealt with the following morning and we were upgraded to a Sea view room but were only given a camp bed for my 9 year old son! The rest of the hotel is in a good condition and our stay was mostly enjoyable. The buffet was exceptional with amazing fresh bread served throughout the day. The salads were excellent. The pool area is very crammed and there is the usual early morning rush to bag a good sunbed. You would be lucky to get one after 7.30am which is very frustrating. The beach is very close and very safe although rocky. The evening entertainment is a bit dull!

Good hotel, good location
The hotel was in a good location, staff were very friendly and helpful (could not fault the staff at all) food was very good and everything was very well presented. The only fault I have, and it is very minor, is that the air conditioning could have been better and it would have been nice to have had a light on the balcony.
