Hayes Family trip
Any hotels in New York are expensive , but out of the city is where you will find the most reasonably priced , this hotel in Long Island City is well located near the sub way, and only takes 10 minutes and you are in the heart of the city, we have stayed here several times before , the hotel staff are very friendly

Queens is fine
We recently visited our daughter that had just moved to NYC. We want to visit her as often as possible so we were looking to find an economical but nice place to stay. Staying in the city was not important to us because her apt is in Queens. We were able to walk to the train and ride into the city, we felt safe and conveniently located to the train. We found several diners within walking distance of the hotel the were great and the food was delicious. We will be returning to this hote.

Staying in Queens
First trip to New York where I’ve stayed off Manhattan. La Quinta Inn was a great stay and less than 15 minutes by bus or subway across the Queensboro Bridge into the heart of the action. Very helpful staff and everything problem free. Wonderfully diverse neighbourhood and full of interesting shops and place to eat and drink. If Queens has been a place you viewed out of the window of your taxi on the way to JFK it’s time to consider a stay and explore this up and coming area.
Traveller's tip on dining
Pete’s Grill is a block from the hotel and serves breakfast 24 hours a day. Equal to many more expensive places in Manhattan. Great place to start or end your day.
