Geat room and downtown location for the money
The Grange is a nice small Hotel but a little worn around the edges-but after all it’s a "budget hotel". Despite the worn edges, the room was clean and the sheets/pillow cases very white and fresh. Everything worked that was suppose to work. A note in the room said you can have a coffeemaker and internet connection wire for a refundable $10 deposit(each), available at the front desk. The wire was already in the room and we were not asked for the $10. when given the coffeemaker with filters. We were there 4 nights and our used linens were changed and the beds made each day. We used the kitchenette for brkft., ate at the little table and used our laptop on the little desk. The neighborhood is low to moderate income with surrounding apt. housing units full of families doing what families do. Grandparents, parents and kids all around. We felt safe and routinely walked to all our destinations both day and night. We had our car with us and parked in their lot for a $4/day fee (great deal).

a lot cheaper than the other places nearby, but the surrounding area seemed a little slummy. the hotel was well maintained and clean, just a little creepy.

Needs
the room was much smaller than expected, the bath tub was a bit grimy and the shower head was really low. I’m 6ft tall and it came up to my cheek. the refrigerator was of poor quality and the back burner did not work. the twin size bed was like sleeping on a rock and the queen size was very soft, no support. construction was going on constantly outside but the room was maintained as clean as it could be but it needs serious remodeling and new appliances...
