OK but could do better
For the price, I expected more. The buffet breakfast was good, and for an oldish hotel it’s been done up to an OK standard, nice colour scheme and furnishings. But the standard room was tiny, couldn’t move around the bed, the shower was pretty bad and leaked everywhere, and there were stains on the carpet. The staff were ok. The location could be better, it seemed quite far from the main centre. The redeeming feature was the spa in the basement, the main reason I chose this. The treatment was very good, products used were very nice and price was ok. Recommendation, find accom closer to the centre and book the spa separately.

rooms very small
room very small got to hot. the selection of teas and coffee very pore not everyone like earl grey.

A long way from town but nice enough
We stayed for one night only and didn’t see a great deal but here are the things we liked: - The bar (if a little pricey) - Nice looking hotel with good decor - Beautiful chandelier in the foyer - The bed - very comfy - The shower Here are the things we didn’t like: - The distance to town - it is a long walk...but cabs are pretty reasonable - Distinct lack of parking...but that’s just Brighton - We found a good multi storey car park about half a mile away at Norton Road - Only 6 channels on the TV - Tolietries and no hair dryer
The Hotel du Vin has some fantastic beers...
