4 Star service at 3 Star Price - Nice Rooms
This was my first trip to Dubai as an American and I was nervous to go actually, however, the travel in me decide I had to check out this new destination. In looking at hotels I found them to be very expensive and when I booked this hotel at a lower price I was nervous. The service was 4-4.5 star and the rooms 3.5-4 stars. Free newspaper, coffee, friendly front desk staff, and a great concierge.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I recommend you take the desert safari. I had a wonderful time and you actually get to get out of the city. This hotel is by this Gold Souk and about 10 miles from Al Burj Arab and mega mall. Taxis are 1/2 the cost of USA. I chartered a taxi for two hours under USD40.00

OK if you do not want a drink with your meal
The hotel is of good standard, however taxi drivers could not find it from the centre of Dubai and it does not sell alcohol.

not impressed, not a 5 or 4 star
no one at door to carry bags, front desk not helpful, no one to take bags to room, no to show room, room service slow, food cold, small portions, room service continually called wanting thier tray back. no vehicle for airport drop-off, had to hail street cab at 4:30 am.
