Very nice, quiet hotel
Our stay at the Monna Lisa was very comfortable with a surprisingly large room and a private bathroom that appeared recently remodeled. We found the enclosed courtyard an extremely peaceful place to enjoy breakfast or to sit in the evening. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially during the morning breakfast service. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the equipment in the gym with newer cardio and universal weight equipment. During our stay, I was usually the only one using it in the mornings which I enjoyed.

Quiet Restful Hotel
Pluses: location, gardens, quiet We were given a room on the ground floor but changed to another room because of the damp-smelling air. The upper-floor room had a fan going in the bathroom all the time because of smells. Overall though we enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were small but comfortable.

Peace in the centre of Florence
Very welcoming and helpful throughout. We arrived with no luggage (another story) and the hotel took the initiative to chase for us - and we were reunited with it. Our room fronted the Borgo Pinti but was not at all noisy. Be warned - if you keep the shutters completely closed you may oversleep and miss breakfast as we did once. Breakfast was tasty and varied and the option of taking it in the garden was welcome. Although very central, the hotel is an oasis of tranquillity. It was recommended to su and we would recommend it to others.
Traveller's tip on dining
No dinners provided in the hotel but La Giostra, literally down the road is a good place to eat with large portions and relatively high prices counterbalanced by free prosecco and nibbles. Portions are large. Accadi, also literally down the road in the other direction, was good if understaffed the night we went; but our favourite was probably LAntico Fattore near the Uffizi galleries (Via Lambertesca)
