Do not stay here, plenty of other better values
My fiancee and I were very disappointed with this place. The renovations in part of the hotel look good and the bar areas are elogant. We had plenty of broken tile in our bathroom, cracks in the ceiling, and we could hear everything in the rooms surrounding ours. This place would have been fine at half the cost, but its not what it is all cracked up to be. Also, I thought the gardens around the hotel would be pretty, but it was very clear that they had not taken any time to fix broken pumps, etc. I am a pretty easy going guy, and tend to give hotels the benefit of the doubt, but save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

Value
Get a room on the 3rd floor with a street view. It was the best hotel value out there. The front desk service was pretty bad but you can’t beat the price.

Comfortable but a bit dated
This hotel is right in the middle of Pitlochry, and was being refurbished while I was there (the whole front was covered in scaffolding). Inside the decor is a bit faded, but the room was very comfortable and clean, and the staff very helpful.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
The local golf course is stunning, a lovely, fairly short 18 holes with magnificent views, well worth a round.
