An excellent hotel well worth the visit
The Cavendish is ideally located in Eastbourne with great sea views and its own car parking. The hotel is superbly maintained, very spacious, very clean and the staff (virtually all from overseas)very courteous and helpful. All the local amenities, restaurants, and town centre are within easy walking distance. The slight down-side was the hotel restaurant. The staff were very attentive and helpful but the evening meal was no better than OK and the breakfasts varying in quality. We stayed three nights and had superb breakfasts on two mornings but the Sunday was a major let-down. There appeared to be less staff on show and some problems in the kitchen with food containers when empty only very slowly replenished and in some cases the food provided was cold. However, the few negatives were clearly out-weighed by the many positives.
Traveller's tip on dining
Enjoy the hotel and its excellent location but eat out - there are many better alternatives nearby.

Great location for a weekend break
I booked a nights B&B here as a suprise for my husband who had been away on business for two weeks. Parking was straight forward (receptionist provides a ticket to display in your car so you can park in the s zones when their carpark is full). Check-in was swift and the receptionist was pleasant. Our room was a sea facing double - massive room, massive bed! We ordered room services drinks and later had a gorgeous meal delivered to our room. My husband ordered breakfast to the room too and it really was lovely to eat with a sea view.
The food really was wonderful -we ordered a chinese sampler and a chilli chicken dish to share and there was plenty - the icecream is delicious!

Good well-situated hotel
After a six-hour drive from the North, it was a pleasure to find a very comfortable and well-appointed hotel waiting for us. We had arranged to meet people for dinner in the hotel, and were not disappointed; a very pleasant occasion. Next day breakfast was served in our room at 5.30 so we could continue our journey to France.
