More than i expected

I booked one night, because I was going to get to my destination a day earlier than expected. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the facility was for the cost. I would recomend it and would also stay there myself again if the occasion arises.

great room, fantastic price

The Schooner II was such a great surprise. The exterior and lobby are average, but the room was fantastic. We had a 1 bedroom suite with an awesome couch, king size bed, bunk beds and full kitchen (with granite counter tops and new appliances!). We also had a balcony with a view of the ocean. We were able to walk to several restaurants and were right across the street from Starbucks. All this for very little money (which they won’t let me write in this review for some reason) on Labor Day weekend.

COMFURTABLE, CONVIENENT, & GREAT LOOKING! 100% NO PROBLEMS

I was a little nervous when i first booked this hotel because it was the first time i was in SC and you can’t find to many pictures of the rooms online. I am not sure what had happened w/ other people at this hotel or if they underwent new employment, but the service there was GREAT! I was able to check in at noon instead of 4PM!!! There pool/hot tub was Clean!! The ROOM was a little older but great! It was comfortable & pleasureable!!! The balcony and Floor to ceiling Windows made the room feel very Beachy. I had gotten a 1 Bedroom and The Full Kitchen was amazing. The Service was there at my door everyday asking for service and as for taking trash or linens down, since there is 16 Floors, There is trash/linen shoot right outside the room, so you don’t have to walk really at all. This place is FANTASTIC!!! I have no complaints!!

What happened to housekeeping?

I had a great stay at this hotel. The only issue that I had was that room service NEVER came to clean the room throughout or stay. We had to clean our own room and take out our own trash. Other than that, the stay was excellent, it was peaceful and relaxing, the front desk clerks were very nice and inviting and these good things out weighed the lack of housekeeping. I would love to come and stay again, and I would recommend this hotel to others.

Unforgetable Experience

The hotel/resort was far more than I expected. The level of service was great from the Management to housekeeping. location of the hotel/resort was great and easy access to everything. I would hoghly recommend this hotel to anyone interested in a safe and home like stay.

Not too Bad

I was upgraded from the room I ordered. I should have been in an oceanview and got an oceanfront. So that was a big positive. The only downside I had about the stay is that the room smelled of wet dog. The smell was so bad we had to leave for a bit and come back. Otherwise, the room was wonderful and spacious. I would use it again and hope for a better smell!

Pass Next Time

* Linen was old and musty (sheets, towels) * Access to the beach was great but there were only 4 umbrellas set out daily for all guests. So if you wanted shade, you had to go early. * Beds were quite firm * Hotel itself seemed more like a throwback to the 70’s.

In the surrounding areas, there were alot of family attractions. Most within walking distance.

Not at all Satisfied

Queen bed was actually a double which was very used and the mattress was very hard. The linen was inespensive and needs replacing. The sofa cushions were flat and the room reeked of smoke. The staff provided spray to mask the smell. The elevators were dirty, the pool way to small for a hotel, and the lobby was minimally clean at best. Never again!!

Spectacular View of Ocean

We had a wonderful view of the ocean. Enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice for the Price

The one bedroom unit that I stayed in was very nicely decorated and very clean. The whirlpool tub was not really designed to be used by adults! Once in and turning the jets on, water spilled out onto the floor. The patio was nice, however the rail seemed very flimsy and quetionable as to whether it would hold if someone fell against it and I was on the 11th floor!! Overall a very nice place!!

I would definitely go back.

The staff was professional, friendly, and very helpful. The room was comfortable and has a wonderful view of the ocean. It was very relaxing.
