The hotel for which the word ’grim’ was invented

This hotel is in an ugly, grey part of south Dublin and it is easily more than 20 minutes on the bus to the city centre. But, we didn’t even stay there because the rooms and bathrooms (we were shown two rooms) were so dirty and past it and the mattresses were WW2 surplus, at best. Even at the low price you can get a room for, I would not recommend this to anyone. There is no ’value for money’ here.

Basic Motel

This was your very basic motel. It was just what we expected. Nothing really great about it, and nothing really bad about it. Just be aware it is more of a motel and a hotel. It is about a mile walk from St Stephens Green. So it is a descent cheap place to stay and be able to walk to the touristy sites of Dublin.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you are heading to Dublin and plan on going to the Guinness Storehouse...go early. We went from like 2-4pm and it was packed.
