Great value, fantastic location.
We were a bit concerned about booking this hotel having read previous reviews, however, for the money it was great. We stayed here for the last 5 nights of a month long trip and were relieved that the room was spacious with plenty of storage and a clean bathroom with plenty of hot water. Our view may have been of a brick wall but to be honest we didn’t mind as it was quiet at night! The guy on reception was really helpful and let us use the phone in reception,(with a phone card) and printed our flight boarding cards for us. However the woman that worked there was not so helpful and begrudgingly let us use the phone after being a bit rude. Overall great value and close to the trams.

can’t wait to go back
no problems.perfect location.the hotel is very basic but for my 2 week stay it was perfect.all i need is a bed and a shower.Besides if you are in a place like san francisco you would’nt spend all of your time in your hotel.the staff are all very friendly and happt to help.hotel is seconds away from every mode of public transportation.It’s also right next to union square so you can hit all the shops then drop all your shopping off so you don’t have to carry it about all day.plenty of places to eat no matter which way you go once you step outside.no phones inroom but didn’t bother me.laundry facilites are in short supply there’s 2 washers and 2 driers so prepare to wait.also look out for the fools who put there washing on then come back 5 hours later to put it in the drier.alot of the long term residents are students but are not noisey.gladly stay here again.the best part for me is starbucks is 2 doors down.the annoying part is the homeless beggers but they are harmless.no matter where oyu go they are there.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
buy a muni pass from the visiters center at powell.they are cheap.they come in one day ,three day or seven day passes.also it saves you having to worry about having no change.most of muni is exact change only.
