Best Western Hotel Les Palmeres

Excellent value for money

Stayed for four nights and everything about the place was excellent.A big plus ,I feel,was the fact that it’s a relatively small hotel, therefore the service was better and overall noise levels as such were much less than other 4* hotels in the vicinity. About 100 metres or so to the beach and 10-15 min walk to the railway station if you want to get on a train to Barcelona means if we go to Calella again we will be staying at Les Palmeres.Food was excellent too, and in mid-October the dining room was never too busy.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use the train to go in to Barcelona-6.40 Euros each return and then the touristic bus(hop on and off)to see all the sights-excellent value.

Would certainly use again

Used hotel as a base for sight seeing.Hotel was exceptionally clean maid serviced room every day we were there.Reception staff very helpful. Restaurant staff run off there feet , had to clear our own table at evening meal, not a problem really. Food adequate at breakfast and evening meal,just a bit limited. Went to Nou Camp ,hour and a half using train and metro, bought a 48 euro pitch side ticket at ticket kiosk, lot cheaper than 90euro bus trip that offered at hotel (ticket at top of stadium). Over all hotel offers exceptioal value for money , very clean , good size room, one hour commute to barcelona on train.

Great resort hotel

We stayed at Les Palmeres during September 08 for 10 days and must say we were impressed. This is the first holiday booked without using the brochures as a guide and so were perhaps a little uncertain what to expect. However we had no need to worry as on arrival we soon discovered this hotel met our expectations. Very clean and maintained to a high standard and the staff always helpful. Meals buffet service and presented well, with plenty of choice of meat, fish and salad dishes. Although I did find the choice of desserts a bit repetitive. Room was fine though not over spacious, and was cleaned daily to a high standard. Views to the sea were very limited and most were overlooking the street. The big plus was the proximity to the local amenities, just a short walk to the shops and the beach. And a brisk 15mins walk to the local railway station where the trains to Barcelona run every 30 mins or so. The only complaint I would mention is that it does tend to be noisy at times, not only with street traffic but because of the tiled flooring, which allows you to hear the people above moving about. And the doors do tend to bang a lot as well. But apart from those minor complaints I would say its a great resort hotel.
